And She’s Gone!

“..And everything went magical. It was just unbelievable.” I said while narrating my story to my squad.

“Great..” Krishnan said, “Meri shaadi tere kaam aagyi. (My marriage proved to be useful to you.)”

“Haha! Yeah. Kind of.” I said.

After an hour I started waking those drunkards up, it was 11 by then and was obvious that they aren’t going to wake up by themselves, after effects of alcohol.

“Eddy, Navneet, Dhruv, Aman, Pindu… Come on guys, wake up. We need to pack our bags too. We’ve to leave.

“Hmm..” came the reply from someone.

I started taking the blanket off them, but it had no effect on them, they were behaving as if they didn’t had proper sleep since ages, as if they’re son of Kumbhkarana.

I threw water on Eddy’s face.

“What?” He shouted.

“Get up. Pack your bags. We need to leave damn it!”

“Delay it.” He said and turned towards the other side of the bed.

“It isn’t my private jet son! Get up.”

“Understand bro! I can’t. Wake Aman up. He started vomiting after 3rd peg, he’ll wake up easily.”

I started laughing and then pushed everyone from their beds and went to the washroom. When I came back, everyone was sleeping on the floor. I then switched off the fan and the air conditioner and went to the balcony. After 5 minutes, I heard them shouting over it, cursing me, but as expected, no one got up to switch them on. I won!!

Another Love Story: Just Me And You

After another half an hour we all started packing our bags to go back, back to our home, to our business, the joy was over. But I was happy, I was happy because I met her. For, I would’ve seriously missed out on something in my life if I wouldn’t have gathered up the courage to go and talk to her. That decision became one of the best in my life. Everyone was high on alcohol last night, but it was she who captured my mind. No drug ever made that impact on me which she did in a few hours. Everyone there was going to leave with some good memories, memories of friendship, our reunion and all the fun that we had, but I had captured some other beautiful moments too; those moments with her.

“Adi..” Eddy called.

“Yeah.” I replied.

“You took her number right?”

“That girl with whom you spent those beautiful, magical and unbelievable moments.”

“Shit..” I stood dumbstruck.

“Don’t tell me you didn’t.”

“I forgot about it man! I was so lost in that moment that I couldn’t think of anything else.”

“Krishnan.” We both said together and went running towards his room.

Krishnan’s room there was the last on the same floor on which ours was the first.

Krishnan was holding Piya in his embrace and was about to kiss her, when we both came running into his room without even thinking to knock!

“Krish I want her number.” I said without realizing the situation.

“What? Whose? What are..? Krishnan was unable to form a sentence but Piya got angry at us, “Are you guys crazy? You don’t know that you need to knock the door before entering someone’s room?”

“Yeah. But it’s emergency.” I said.

A simple, sweet and sober love story: And That’s How It Was Meant To Be

Eddy was standing behind me, laughing at the situation, and ofcourse me!

“Asking for someone’s number is an emergency. Seriously Adi?” She said, full of anger.

“No.. Yeah.. May be..” I ran out of words.

“Adi come.” Krishnan said and took us out of the room.

Eddy now started to laugh loudly. I was highly embarrassed, but I was laughing shamelessly too.

“Whose number do you want?” Krishnan asked.

“But she left early in the morning.”

“Do you have her number?”

“Why? I mean how? You, now, know her better than me. I never saw her before yesterday.”

“Now what?”

“You must’ve asked for the number there itself.”

“What should I do man! I know. But I was so lost at the moment, enjoying and capturing those moments.”

“Now live with them. She has left.”

“Bro don’t say like that. I need it.”

“You asked her who was she? I mean who invited her or what was her relation with me ot Piya?”

“No.” Eddy said and then he looked towards me and asked, “Isn’t it?”

“Yeah.” I said, “I don’t know.”

“Then forget her.” Krishnan said.

“Honestly, I can’t bro!” I said. And I was starting to get panicked but then my phone buzzed. I looked at it. It was a text from Piya, “Contact name: Alia. Mobile number: 8750*&%$#9”

I looked up, Piya came out of the room.

“You better knock before entering someone’s room from now.” She said with a smile.

“Thanks a lot Piya.” I said as I hugged her.
